Forefront Helps Family Take Flight

Seeing large machinery at the busy Forefront Services workshop in Orange is nothing new but a blue farm tractor has been a welcome addition this week in support of the 2018 Central West Tractor Trek.

An annual 220km journey across the Central West, Tractor Trek raises money for Little Wings, an organisation providing free flights and ground transport to regional children travelling to children’s hospitals in Sydney and Newcastle.

Forefront Services team member Adam Sharp, and his father John will join other teams who will drive tractors on a 220km journey from Molong through to Manildra, Cumnock, Boomey, Mullion Creek, March and Belgravia then back to Molong from October 12 to 14.

Adam’s nephew has used the Little Wings service so he is acutely aware of its importance. Adam was pleasantly surprised when his request for donations was met with enthusiasm from Forefront Services director Anthony Redfern.

“I was blown away by Anthony’s generosity,” Mr Sharp said. “I’ve worked at a few other places but Forefront has been the most supportive of its staff and their interests. They are really passionate about their people and are always keen to help the community out and I’m sure locals support them in return.”

Adam’s father, John was one of the founding members of the Central West Tractor Trek group that began 2011 and has raised approximately $1.7million in seven years.

As a gold sponsor of the event, Forefront Services will raise funds to assist families with children suffering from illness and/or disabilities providing financial assistance during these difficult times.
